Architected Glass‐Ceramics

Controlled crystallization converts a precursor glass into a glass‐ceramic comprising crystalline phases embedded within a residual glass matrix. When crystal size, refractive‐index mismatch, and phase assemblage are carefully controlled, optical transparency can be retained by minimizing light scattering.
