Arterial hypoxemia following the administration of sublingual nitroglycerin
American Heart Journal, 1978The effect of nitroglycerin on arterial blood gases and cardiovascular hemodynamics were studied in patients with coronary artery disease. In 13 premedicated patients blood gases and cardiovascular hemodynamics were studied before and 10 minutes after sublingual nitroglycerin (0.6 mg).

Myocardial Infarction following Administration of Sublingual Ergotamine
Chest, 1982Ergotamine is commonly used in the treatment of migraine headache. Since migraine may be associated with variant angina, some patients with migraine may develop coronary ischemia following therapy with ergotamine. We describe a young woman with migraine who had two myocardial infarctions following low dose sublingual ergotamine.

Alprazolam Kinetics Following Sublingual and Oral Administration
Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, 1987Thirteen healthy volunteers received 1 mg of alprazolam, as the commercially available oral tablet, by sublingual and oral routes on two occasions in random sequence. Plasma alprazolam concentrations during 48 hours after each dose were measured by electron-capture gas-liquid chromatography.
