PiP‐Plex: A Particle‐in‐Particle System for Multiplexed Quantification of Proteins Secreted by Single Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
Detecting proteins secreted by a single cell while retaining its viability remains challenging. A particles‐in‐particle (PiPs) system made by co‐encapsulating barcoded microparticles (BMPs) with a single cell inside an alginate hydrogel particle is introduced.

Self‐Assembled Zinc Supraparticles as Sustainable Fertilizer Platforms for Controlled Nutrient Release with Reduced Zinc Leaching in Soil

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 3, March 2026.
Zinc oxide supraparticles (ZnO SPs) are developed as a sustainable platform for controlled nutrient release in agriculture. They enable slow zinc release, limit vertical nutrient mobility, preserve soil microbial activity, and enhance photosynthetic performance in maize.

Decoding the Cellular Heterogeneity and Malignant Progression of Human Penile Squamous Cell Carcinoma by Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
Single‐cell transcriptomic and functional analyses identify SEMA3C as a key regulator of tumor progression and tumor microenvironment remodeling in penile squamous cell carcinoma. SEMA3C promotes epithelial–mesenchymal transition, tumor growth, and invasion while shaping an immunosuppressive microenvironment, highlighting its potential as a prognostic ...
