An Improved Upper Limit of Cyanodiacetylene (HC5N) in the Atmosphere of Titan

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
In the complex Titan atmospheric chemistry, photochemical reactions involving cyanodiacetylene (HC _5 N) may be important as reaction pathways that could lead to the production of amines and aromatic molecules.

Integrated heterodyne array receivers for submillimeter astronomy [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2003
The advent of large format (~100 pixel) spectroscopic imaging cameras at submillimeter wavelengths would fundamentally change the way in which astronomy is performed in this important wavelength regime. While the possibility of such instruments has been discussed for more than two decades, only recently have advances in mixer technology, device ...

The effect of early diagenetic processes on the quantification of fossil micrometeorite abundance and flux in the geological record

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 4, Page 551-564, April 2026.
Abstract Fossil micrometeorites (MMs) recovered from lithified sedimentary rocks, particularly iron‐rich (I‐type) cosmic spherules (CSs) provide valuable insights into past dust‐forming events. Their abundances, when combined with estimates of local sedimentation rates can be used to reconstruct the flux of extraterrestrial dust.

The Submillimeter Array

open access: yes, 2004
The Submillimeter Array (SMA), a collaborative project of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) and the Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ASIAA), has begun operation on Mauna Kea in Hawaii. A total of eight 6-m telescopes

The JCMT Gould Belt Survey: A First Look at the Auriga–California Molecular Cloud with SCUBA-2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We present 850 and 450 μm observations of the dense regions within the Auriga–California molecular cloud using SCUBA-2 as part of the JCMT Gould Belt Legacy Survey to identify candidate protostellar objects, measure the masses of their circumstellar ...

First Principles Rovibronic Absorption Spectra of HF Molecule

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 6, March 5, 2026.
Hydrogen fluoride (HF) is astrophysically important, as it has been detected in sunspots, Venus, red giants, and the interstellar medium, serving as a probe of exoplanet atmospheres. This article presents an ab initio investigation of HF rovibronic spectroscopy, combining high‐level electronic‐structure data with nuclear‐motion solutions and refinement

Exploring the Interior Structure of (16) Psyche Through Basin‐Scale Collisions

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Asteroid (16) Psyche, the largest member of the M/X‐type asteroids, may be the leftover core of a differentiated planetesimal. As such (16) Psyche will be explored in detail by NASA's discovery‐class Psyche mission in 2029. This will be the first mission to orbit a metal‐rich asteroid, or any asteroid in the 100–500 km size range.

Jets in Low-Mass Protostars

open access: yesUniverse
Jets and outflows are key components of low-mass star formation, regulating accretion and shaping the surrounding molecular clouds. These flows, traced by molecular species at (sub)millimeter wavelengths (e.g., CO, SiO, SO, H2CO, and CH3OH) and by atomic,

The Quest for the Missing Dust. II. Two Orders of Magnitude of Evolution in the Dust-to-gas Ratio Resolved within Local Group Galaxies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
We explore evolution in the dust-to-gas ratio with density within four well-resolved Local Group galaxies—the LMC, SMC, M31, and M33. We do this using new Herschel maps, which restore extended emission that was missed by previous Herschel reductions ...
