Monoamine Oxidase Substrates and Substrate Affinity [PDF]

open access: yesSchizophrenia Bulletin, 1980
The evidence that there are two forms of monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes is reviewed. On the basis of various substrate affinities, differential inhibition by deprenyl and clorgyline, and heat inactivation, there appear to be a type A and a type B MAO in various tissues.

Study on the effect of the substrate material type and thickness on the performance of the filtering antenna design [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This article presents a new design of a four-pole microstrip filtering antenna. The filtering antenna consists of a bandpass filter, which has four resonators integrated to a monopole patch antenna.

Plasma ferritin concentration is positively associated with in vivo fatty acid mobilization and insulin resistance in obese women

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, 2018
New Findings What is the central question of this study? Do obese women with relatively high whole‐body iron stores exhibit elevated in vivo rates of fatty acid (FA) release from adipose tissue compared with a well‐matched cohort of obese women with ...

Effect of Same-Temperature GaN Cap Layer on the InGaN/GaN Multiquantum Well of Green Light-Emitting Diode on Silicon Substrate

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
GaN green LED was grown on Si (111) substrate by MOCVD. To enhance the quality of InGaN/GaN MQWs, same-temperature (ST) GaN protection layers with different thickness of 8 Å, 15 Å, and 30 Å were induced after the InGaN quantum wells (QWs) layer.

Empirical analysis of microstrip patch antenna for different substrate materials and shapes using aperture coupled technique

open access: yesРадіоелектронні і комп'ютерні системи, 2022
The dielectric material used as a substrate and the shapes of the patches play an important role in the performance of bandwidth, return loss, and gain of the microstrip patch antenna.

Substrate-Supported Lipid Nanotube Arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This Communication describes the self-assembly of phospholipids into lipid nanotubes inside nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide substrate. Orientations of the lipid molecules in such lipid nanoscale structures were verified by high-resolution spin labeling ...

Substrate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Contains three excel sheet tabs: "indvar_substrate_select", "indvar_riffle_character", "substrate_profile". First, "indvar_substrate_select" corresponds to the evaluation of individual sampler bias in substrate selection at a point along a transect ...

BROADBAND SUBSTRATE TO SUBSTRATE INTERCONNECTION

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research C, 2015
A broadband substrate to substrate microwave circuit interconnection is proposed using bond wires and defected ground structure (DGS). The proposed square-shaped DGS etched under compensated microstrip open stubs not only expands its operating bandwidth, but also increases the characteristic impedance of microstrip line without narrowing its width ...

Substrates of PHD [PDF]

open access: yesCell Metabolism, 2019
The discovery of prolyl hydroxylase domain proteins (PHDs) as key enzymes in the hypoxia inducible factor (HIF) pathway has been followed by reports of a multitude of non-HIF substrates of PHD. Reporting in eLife, Cockman et al. (2019) find a surprising lack of detectable PHD activity toward any of them.

Neurobiological Substrates of Dread [PDF]

open access: yesScience, 2006
Given the choice of waiting for an adverse outcome or getting it over with quickly, many people choose the latter. Theoretical models of decision-making have assumed that this occurs because there is a cost to waiting—i.e., dread. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging, we measured the neural responses to waiting for a cutaneous electric shock ...
