The nature and course of subthreshold PTSD

Journal of Anxiety Disorders, 2010
This study investigated rates of subthreshold PTSD and associated impairment in comparison to no PTSD and full PTSD and prospectively followed the course of subthreshold symptoms over 3 years. 3360 workers dispatched to the WTC site following 9/11 completed clinician interviews and self-report measures at three time points each one year apart.

Detection of subthreshold depression and subthreshold anxiety in the elderly

International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, 1999
To assess the ability of screening instruments to detect subthreshold depression or subthreshold anxiety and to make suggestions for the improvement of instrument performance.Group definition relied on the presence or absence of major psychiatric disorders or of subthreshold disorders (Composite International Diagnostic Interview).A community-based ...

Subthreshold logical effort: a systematic framework for optimal subthreshold device sizing

2006 43rd ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference, 2006
Subthreshold circuit designs have been demonstrated to be a successful alternative when ultra-low power consumption is paramount. However, the characteristics of MOS transistors in the subthreshold regime are significantly different from those in strong-inversion.

Modeling the subthreshold region of OTFTs

2011 8th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control, 2011
This paper presents the expressions and procedure for precise and simple modeling of the subthreshold region of OTFTs. The total drain current in the OTFT is calculated as the sum of two components, one calculated in above threshold regime plus the one corresponding to the below threshold regime. The tanh function is used to sew both regions.

Reconfigurable subthreshold CMOS perceptron

2004 IEEE International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37541), 2005
We present an idea for a new real-time reconfigurable perceptron, also called, a threshold element. The circuit example contain three inverters with shorted outputs. SPICE simulations for a 0.6 /spl mu/m CMOS implementation operating in the subthreshold region. are shown.

Subthreshold firing in Mott nanodevices

Nature, 2019
Resistive switching, a phenomenon in which the resistance of a device can be modified by applying an electric field1-5, is at the core of emerging technologies such as neuromorphic computing and resistive memories6-9. Among the different types of resistive switching, threshold firing10-14 is one of the most promising, as it may enable the ...

Subthreshold pion production

Physical Review C, 1985
The Boltzmann master equation as adopted for treating equilibration in heavy ion reactions has been modified to include pion production rates from (n,n), (n,p), and (p,p) collisions. We calculate neutral pion production cross sections for reactions of 35 MeV/nucleon /sup 14/N with /sup 27/Al, /sup 58/Ni, and /sup 184/W targets. We also calculate ..pi../

The Subthreshold Perception of Stimulus-Meaning

The American Journal of Psychology, 1967
This paper is concerned with the possibility that subjects (Ss) may be able to respond as if they have perceived the meaning of tachistoscopically presented words before they are aware of the physical characteristics (i.e. the actual letters) of the words. Although the bulk of experimental evidence supports the notion that the physical structure of the

PIONIC FUSION AT SUBTHRESHOLD ENERGIES

International Journal of Modern Physics A, 2009
In order to study the role of pions and clustering phenomena in nuclei, two experiments have been performed using the AGOR accelerator facility. In collisions of two nuclei a pion and a fused nucleus were produced. The examined reactions were 4He(3He, π0)7Be and 6Li(4He, π0)10B at beam energies about 10 MeV above the coherent pion production threshold
