Subtilisin-like proteases in nematodes

Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology, 2007
Cleavage by subtilisin-like proteases (subtilases) is an essential step in post-translational processing of proteins found in organisms ranging from yeast to mammals. Our knowledge of the diversity of this protease family in nematodes is aided by the rapid increase in sequence information, especially from the Brugia malayi genome project.

Laundry Performance Of Subtilisin Proteases

1996
Effective laundry protease performance against susceptible stains depends upon both the enzyme itself and the environment in which it must work. In order to technically design superior laundry proteases, a model for protease's mechanism of action in detergents was developed which has been substantiated through-the-wash.

Plant subtilisins.

Biochemistry. Biokhimiia, 1999
This review presents a systematization of available data on subtilisin-like serine proteinases of plants. Enzymatic and physicochemical properties of the enzymes, their structure and processing, as well as their biological functions and origin are considered.

Subtilases: Subtilisin-Like Serine Proteases

1996
Subtilases are members of the family of subtilisin-like serine proteases. Over 70 subtilases are presently known, more than 60 of which with their complete amino acid sequence. In this update, details of more than 20 new subtilases discovered recently are summarized, and their sequences included in a multiple sequence alignment table.
