Optimal Water–Power Flow-Problem: Formulation and Distributed Optimal Solution [PDF]
This paper formalizes an optimal water–power flow (OWPF) problem to optimize the use of controllable assets across power and water systems while accounting for the couplings between the two infrastructures.

Stationary-state analysis of low-voltage DC grids [PDF]
The optimal power flow is a classic method for alternating current networks, which can also be applied to direct current networks. However, it is needed to design new methods that guarantee convergence and global optimum.

Successive approximation analog-digital converter in CMOS for bioimpedance analysis. [PDF]
A bioimpedância é uma técnica que mapeia a distribuição da impedância elétrica no interior do corpo humano através de eletrodos em contato com a pele. Estas informações demonstram o quão bem o corpo impede o fluxo de corrente.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
