2-Aminopyridinium–succinate–succinic acid (2/1/1)
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2002In the title compound, 2C(5)H(7)N(2)(+).C(4)H(4)O(4)(2-).C(4)H(6)O(4), cyclic eight-membered hydrogen-bonded rings exist involving 2-aminopyridinium and succinate ions. The succinic acid and succinate moieties lie on inversion centres. Succinic acid molecules and succinate ions are linked into zigzag chains by O-H.O hydrogen bonds, with O.O distances ...

Colorimetric determination of succinic acid using yeast succinate dehydrogenase
Analytical Biochemistry, 1978An enzymatic method for the rapid determination of succinic acid in biological fluids was developed utilizing yeast mitochondria as a source of succinate dehydrogenase. The yeast enzyme catalyzes a complete stoichiometric reduction of 2- (p-iodophenyl)-3-(p-nitrophenyl)-5-tetrazolium chloride to a red formazan.

Succinic Acid Production with Actinobacillus succinogenes ZT-130 in the Presence of Succinic Acid
Current Microbiology, 2009Glucose fermentation with Actinobacillus succinogenes was carried out at different initial concentrations of succinic acid (SA(0)) to determine its effect on growth and on the production of succinic acid itself. The specific rates of biomass production, succinic, formic and acetic acids decreased with SA(0) (0-40 g/l). The partially dissociated form of

Selective extraction of succinic acid from binary mixture of succinic acid and acetic acid
Biotechnology Letters, 2000In production of succinic acid by fermentation, succinic acid and acetic acid are co-produced. To purify the succinic acid from binary-acid mixture of succinic acid and acetic acid, the tertiary amine-based extraction was used. In 1-octanol, the selectivity for succinic acid was proportional to the chain length of tertiary amine.
