Advancing Biotherapeutic Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis Using Lipid Mesophases: Formulation Design and Preclinical Validation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid mesophases provide a versatile platform for colon‐targeted delivery of biotherapeutics, protecting them from degradation while enhancing mucoadhesion and enabling localized, controlled release to the inflamed mucosa after oral or rectal administration. In a DSS‐induced colitis model, this strategy reduced disease activity, inflammatory biomarkers,

Semi‐Artificial Photosynthesis Enables Light‐Driven Biomanufacturing in Non‐Photosynthetic Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐invasive strategy exploits endogenous H2S metabolism in B. subtilis to drive in situ CdS biomineralization, enabling tight bio‐abiotic contact without genetic modification. Light harvested by the biomineralized nanoparticles powers NADPH regeneration, elevating 2’‐fucosyllactose and surfactin titres two‐ to three‐fold.

Precision Nanomedicine for Traumatic Neural Injury: Functional Paradigms and Translational Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review presents a pathology‐driven framework unifying nanomedicine across TBI, SCI, and PNI. Epidemiological evidence and comparative single‐cell transcriptomic reanalysis define shared pathological modules, injury‐specific effectors, and therapeutic bottlenecks. Six functional paradigms connect nanomaterial structure and biological fate to injury‐

Activation‐Induced Turbostratic Ordering in pDCPD‐Derived Hard Carbon Enables Stable Carbonate‐Based Sodium‐Ion Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hard carbon derived from templated poly(dicyclopentadiene) as anode for sodium–ion batteries was engineered through carbonization and second‐step CO2${\rm CO}_2$ activation. High‐temperature carbonization and activation increased local ordering while reducing defects without inducing structural fracture.

Enzyme‐Linked Cycloaddition Assay (ELCA) for Rapid, Ultra‐Sensitive Monitoring of Secreted Sialoglycoproteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Secreted glycoproteins report on cellular state faster than the cell surface, yet remain hard to measure. The Enzyme‐Linked Cycloaddition Assay (ELCA) combines metabolic azide labeling with click chemistry in an ELISA‐like microplate format, resolving sialylation changes within minutes for 1‐2 EUR per sample.

Synergistic Charge Scavenging in Pt/C‐Polyoxometalate Systems for Scalable Biomass Power Generation via Super‐Reduced Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Synergistic charge scavenging between Pt/C and liquid polyoxometalate mediators effectively dismantles the inherent biological recalcitrance of raw biowaste. This dynamic interfacial electron transfer unlocks a multi‐electron super‐reduced state (>4 electrons). By overcoming traditional electron‐harvesting ceilings, this approach enables scalable, high‐

Hepatocyte CBX2 Safeguards Hepatic Lipid Homeostasis by Elevating Ca2+‐CaMKK2‐AMPK Signaling to Counter MASLD

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hepatocytes, CBX2 promotes H3K4me3 enrichment at the Orai1 promoter to enhance Orai1 transcriptional activation, thereby increasing intracellular Ca2+ levels. The elevated Ca2+ activates the CaMKK2‐AMPK signaling cascade, resulting in ACC phosphorylation and downstream metabolic regulation. This cascade suppresses de novo lipogenesis (Fasn, Acc, Scd‐

Multiscale Regulation of Ru‐Based Catalysts for Upgrading Biomass‐Derived Levulinic Acid and Levulinates to γ‐Valerolactone: Mechanisms, Advances, and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent advances in the mechanistic, thermodynamic, and kinetic studies of biomass‐derived levulinic acid/levulinates conversion to γ‐valerolactone, along with the corresponding multiscale regulation strategies of Ru‐based catalysts.
