LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Assessment of heritability and identification of suitable hybrids for late sowing in sugar beet
In order to assess short vegetation period of sugar beet hybrids, an experiment was carried out in 2009 in randomized complete block (RCB) design with 4 replications in Abdolrasoul Motahari Agricultural Research Station of Sugar Beet Seed Institute ...

Yield and sugar accumulating capacities of Airén cultivar. A preliminary study [PDF]
Airén is the most worldwide spread white grape cultivar, high yielding, well adapted to hot, dry conditions, and not very sensitive to fungal diseases. Its largest growing region is La Mancha, where Airén has been traditionally bush trained, spur pruned ...

Efficient Biocatalytic Synthesis of Dihalogenated Purine Nucleoside Analogues Applying Thermodynamic Calculations [PDF]
The enzymatic synthesis of nucleoside analogues has been shown to be a sustainable and efficient alternative to chemical synthesis routes. In this study, dihalogenated nucleoside analogues were produced by thermostable nucleoside phosphorylases in ...

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Plant Populations and Row Widths for Diploid Sugar-beet Varieties. [PDF]
End of Project ReportThe aim of this work was to see whether the introduction of diploid varieties, with their more erect leaf growth, would require any adjustment of the traditional plant spacing and row width recommendations for sugar beet.

Within-field variations in sugar beet yield and quality and their correlation with environmental variables in the East of England [PDF]
Spatial variability of sugar beet yield and quality within fields and their correlation with environmental variables was investigated in order to explore the potential for more precise agronomy.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
