Reactivity of aluminum sulfate and silica in molten alkalimetal sulfates in order to prepare mullite [PDF]
With the aim of preparing mullite, reactions between aluminum sulfate and silica in appropriate proportions and molten sulfate media M2SO4 (M=Na and/or K) were performed at different temperatures.

Energy transfer of intrinsic electronic excitation to impurities in the CaSO4 − Mn crystal
The nature of the impurity emission center and the energy transfer mechanisms from intrinsic electronic excitations to the Mn2+ impurity centers in the CaSO4 − Mn crystal have been investigated.

Involvement of UDP-Glucuronosyltransferases and Sulfotransferases in the Excretion and Tissue Distribution of Resveratrol in Mice. [PDF]
Resveratrol is a naturally occurring polyphenolic compound with various pharmacological activities. It is unknown whether the expression of metabolizing enzymes correlates with resveratrol levels in organs and tissues.

Control of cell division in the adult brain by heparan sulfates in fractones and vascular basement membranes [PDF]
Regulation of cell division in adult tissues and organs requires the coordination of growth factors at the surface of potentially-dividing cells in specific anatomic loci named germinal niches.

In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...
