Palladium complex catalysed synthesis of sulfinic acids, sulfinic acid esters, sulfonic acids and S-alkyl alkanethiosulfonates

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1994
Abstract A novel reaction for the synthesis of sulfinic acids, sulfinic acids esters, sulfonic acids and S -alkyl alkanethiosulfonates from olefins, SO 2 and hydrogen will be described. Due to its similarity to hydroformylation, this reaction will be called hydrosulfination. Various palladium complexes ([Pd(NCCH 3 ) 2 (R 2 P(CH 2 ) n PR 2 )](BF 4

SULFINIC ACIDS AND RELATED COMPOUNDS. 22. DERIVATIVES OF 2-HYDROXYETHANE SULFINIC ACID1,2

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 1990
Sodium 2-hydroxyethanesulfinate (3) could be converted to the unstable methyl ester 8 by acidification followed by reaction with diazomethane (although the acid 4, itself, could not be isolated as ...

Amino Acid Sulfinate Salts as Alkyl Radical Precursors

Organic Letters, 2023
A general approach to the synthesis of amino acid sulfinate salts from commercially available α-chiral hydroxylated amino acids is reported. These reagents are shown to be valuable precursors to alkyl radicals under mild photochemical oxidation conditions.

Dietary sulfur amino acid modulation of cysteine sulfinic acid decarboxylase

American Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism, 1991
Male rats were fed sulfur and nonsulfur amino acid-supplemented diets, and the response of cysteine sulfinic acid decarboxylase (CSAD) activity was determined. After adaptation to a casein-based basal diet, rats were fed diets containing additions of L-methionine. Hepatic CSAD activity decreased in a dose-dependent manner.

SULFINIC ACIDS AND RELATED COMPOUNDS. 15. CONVENIENT METHODS FOR ESTERIFYING SENSITIVE SULFINIC ACID SALTS1

Phosphorus and Sulfur and the Related Elements, 1985
Abstract In a study of conversions of sensitive sulfinate salts to esters, a trisulfide bissulfinate, [NaO2S(CH2)4S]2S (1), was esterified with trialkyloxonium fluorborates. This procedure (Method A) was better for ethylation than use of ROH-HC1/BF3 (C2H5)2O (Method B). but Method B was better for methylation.

4-Oxoazetidine-2-sulfinic Acid and Its Derivatives

Sulfur reports, 1996
Stereokemijski čisti 4-oksoazetidin-2-sulfinati i -sulfinamidi su epimerizirani u prisustvu klorovodika i istovremeno transformirani sa sulfinat-sulfinamid interkonverzijom. Pod blagim reakcijskim uvjetima oni daju 2-azacefam sulfokside stereokontroliranom intramolekularnom ciklizacijom.
