Radikale Kaskadenreaktion, welche die Kreuzkupplung von Olefinen mit der Smiles‐Truce‐Umlagerung kombiniert

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 23, 1 June 2026.

Radical Cascade Combining Cross‐Olefin Coupling with the Smiles‐Truce Rearrangement

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 23, 1 June 2026.
We present a cobalt‐catalysed radical cascade that efficiently merges two alkene starting materials to form multiple bonds in a single step. The process begins with a cobalt‐catalysed hydrogen‐atom transfer‐to a styrene double bond, followed by a Giese addition.

Copper Joins the Monoelectronic Game: Leveraging the CuI Potential for SET‐, XAT‐, and HAT‐Driven Catalytic Organic Synthesis

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
This review surveys the emerging role of copper(I) catalysis in sustainable synthesis, highlighting its exceptional capacity for monoelectronic processes. By examining the strategies based on electron, halogen, and hydrogen transfer processes (SET, XAT, and HAT, respectively), we outline key reactivity trends, design principles, and the synthetic ...

Photoinduced Selective E/Z Isomerization and Site‐Selective C(sp2)–H Functionalization of Diaryl Methoximes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 6, June 2026.
Selective E/Z isomerization of diaryl methoximes is achieved by the careful selection of a photosensitizer despite the small triplet‐energy differences between structurally and electronically similar E and Z isomers. The isomer‐enriched diaryl methoximes undergo site‐selective C(sp2)–H functionalization to furnish densely functionalized products ...
