Trace analysis of sulfonylurea herbicides in soil samples using solid phase extraction and liquid chromatography with photodiodes detection

open access: yes, 2012
Sulfonylurea herbicides are new class of herbicides that function by inhibiting the action of acetolactate synthase or acetohydroxyacid synthase, key enzymes in the biosynthesis of amino acids in plants.

A gliclazid használata a differenciált szulfanilureaalkalmazás tükrében | The use of gliclazide in the mirror of the individualized sulfonylurea therapy

open access: yes
A szulfanilureavegyületek közös vércukorcsökkentő hatásuk mellett számos tulajdonságukban különböznek egymástól. Korábbi adatok a második generációs származék, a gliclazid, csoporton belüli lehetséges előnyeiről számoltak be.

14‐3‐3 proteins: Regulators of cardiac excitation–contraction coupling and stress responses

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend 14‐3‐3 protein interactions in cardiac regulation. Schematic representation of 14‐3‐3 binding partners in excitation–contraction coupling, transcriptional regulation/development and stress response pathways. Asterisks indicate targets where the exact 14‐3‐3 binding site is unknown.

Long‐Term Glycemic and Metabolic Profiles Observed During Imeglimin Therapy in Japanese Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
In a real‐world setting, 12‐month imeglimin therapy in Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes provided sustained glycemic improvements and enhanced endogenous insulin secretion. Importantly, these durable metabolic benefits were achieved without requiring an increase in overall glucose‐lowering treatment intensity.

Can a Lifestyle‐Centred, Low‐Dose Model Improve Hypertension and Diabetes Care in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries? Real‐World Implementation Data From Zambia

open access: yesLifestyle Medicine, Volume 7, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Hypertension and Type 2 diabetes are major contributors to the growing burden of non‐communicable diseases in rural Zambia. Lifestyle interventions are central to prevention and management, yet implementation remains limited in resource‐constrained settings.

A Systematic Review and Expert Evaluation of Perioperative SGLT2 Inhibitor‐Associated Ketoacidosis Case Reports

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 6, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction The use of sodium–glucose cotransporter‐2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) in the perioperative setting may lead to SGLT2i‐associated postoperative ketoacidosis (SAPKA) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Therefore, cessation of this drug is recommended before surgery.
