Autoimmune Disease Risk With GLP‐1RA, DPP‐4i, and SGLT2i Treatment in Patients With Diabetes
Objective Dipeptidyl peptidase‐4 inhibitors (DPP‐4i), glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1RA), and sodium‐glucose cotransporter‐2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) are widely used for type 2 diabetes, yet their comparative immunologic safety is uncertain.

In a real‐world setting, 12‐month imeglimin therapy in Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes provided sustained glycemic improvements and enhanced endogenous insulin secretion. Importantly, these durable metabolic benefits were achieved without requiring an increase in overall glucose‐lowering treatment intensity.

Abstract Objective Late onset epilepsy (LOE) is associated with substantial morbidity. Sodium‐glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) may exert neuroprotective effects. This study evaluated the association between SGLT2i and risk of LOE among older adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

This study demonstrates that oleanolic acid (OA) may ameliorate type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) by modulating hepatic lipid metabolism and autophagy in a manner concomitant with STAT3 phosphorylation. Specifically, OA downregulates fatty acid synthesis/uptake‐related proteins (SREBP‐1, ACC, CD36), upregulates fatty acid β‐oxidation‐related protein ...
