A Sustainable Biotechnology Approach for Mineral Separation
Silver‑binding peptides are first identified through phage‐display screening, and then engineered into multifunctional and responsive peptides or proteins. These tailored biomolecules can selectively capture and aggregate silver particles or ions from complex mixtures, enabling rapid and efficient silver separation and recovery.

Observations of industrial sulfur flows and implications for Io [PDF]
The possibility of sulfur flows on the Jovian satellite Io is discussed. Although the primary problem is lack of sufficient information to resolve the issue, interpretations of existing data are hampered by poor knowledge of the thermal properties and ...

Effects of Sulfur Application on the Quality of Fresh Waxy Maize
Balanced fertilizer application is crucial for achieving high-yield, high-quality, and efficient maize cultivation. Sulfur (S), considered a secondary nutrient, ranks as the fourth most essential plant nutrient after nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and ...

Optical Whispering‐Gallery Mode as a Fingerprint of Magnetic Ordering in Van der Waals Layered CrSBr
A novel nanoscale optomagnetic sensing approach is developed using whispering‐gallery mode resonances in a self‐rolled‐up microcavity. This method enables ultra‐sensitive detection of weak magnetism by correlating resonance shifts with magnetic susceptibility.

A solution‐processed distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) film, integrated via block copolymer (BCP) self‐assembly, enhances photon recycling in BiVO4 photoanodes for improved photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance. By tuning lamellar structures using lactic acid and cross‐linking density, the DBR film optimally shifts working wavelengths, boosting ...
