On the Mean Values of Certain Character Sums

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Let q≥5 be an odd number. In this paper, we study the fourth power mean of certain character sums ∑χmodq,χ-1=-1*∑1≤a≤q/4aχa4 and ∑χmodq,χ-1=1*∑1≤a≤q/4aχa4, where ∑‍* denotes the summation over primitive characters modulo q, and give some asymptotic ...

Elementary derivations of identities for bilateral basic hypergeometric series

open access: yes, 2000
We give elementary derivations of several classical and some new summation and transformation formulae for bilateral basic hypergeometric series. For purpose of motivation, we review our previous simple proof ("A simple proof of Bailey's very-well-poised

Nested (inverse) binomial sums and new iterated integrals for massive Feynman diagrams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Nested sums containing binomial coefficients occur in the computation of massive operator matrix elements. Their associated iterated integrals lead to alphabets including radicals, for which we determined a suitable basis.

Summation formulae on reciprocal sequences

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2007
Given a sequence \(\{a_n\}_{n\geq0}\) of complex numbers, the reviewer [Eur. J. Comb. 24, 709--718 (2003; Zbl 1024.05010)] introduced its dual sequence \(\{a_n^*\}_{n\geq0}\) with \(a_n^*=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom {n}{k}(-1)^ka_k\), and set \[ A_n(x)=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom{n}{k}(-1)^ka_kx^{n-k}\quad \text{and}\quad A_n^*(x)=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom{n}{k}(-1)^ka_k^*x^{n-

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Further Closed Formulae of Exotic 3F2-Series

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
By making use of the linearization method, we examine a class of nonterminating 3F2-series with five free integer parameters that yields twenty summation formulae.

Closed-form evaluation of 2D static lattice sums

open access: yes, 2016
In the present paper, employing properties of the complete elliptic integrals of the first and second kind, we deduce closed-form formulae for the lattice sums and other new formulae.

Dualizing the Poisson summation formula.

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1991
If f(x) and g(x) are a Fourier cosine transform pair, then the Poisson summation formula can be written as 2sumfrominfinityn = 1g(n) + g(0) = 2sumfrominfinityn = 1f(n) + f(0). The concepts of linear transformation theory lead to the following dual of this classical relation. Let phi(x) and gamma(x) = phi(1/x)/x have absolutely convergent integrals over

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...
