Optical instrumentation for chromospheric monitoring during solar cycle 25 at Paris and Côte d’Azur observatories

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate, 2020
We present the observing program proposed by Paris and Côte d’Azur Observatories for monitoring solar activity during the upcoming cycle 25 and providing near real time images and movies of the chromosphere for space-weather research and applications ...

Revealing Fifth-Grade Students’ Understanding of the Universe

open access: yesMimbar Sekolah Dasar, 2022
Previous research has shown that students at almost all levels have misconceptions about both the shapes and sizes of celestial bodies in space. This study is essential to conduct on the students who take space topic in their schools for the first time ...

Latitudinal Distribution of Sunspot and North-South Asymmetry Revisited [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2018
The solar magnetic field plays a central role in the field of solar research, both theoretically and practically. Sunspots are an important observational constraint since they are considered a discernable tracer of emerged magnetic flux tubes, providing ...

A NEW METHOD FOR NORTH-SOUTH ASYMMETRY OF SUN SPOT AREA ANALYSIS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2007
We have studied the temporal variation in the North-South asymmetry of the sunspot area during the period from 1874 to 2007. Though the 9-year periodicity is commonly reported, shorter periodicities is still under study.

Exploring New Horizons for Wine Grapes: Modulating Functional Effects by Varying Harvest Timing and Solar Exposure

open access: yesFoods
Grenache (GN) and Cabernet Sauvignon (CS) are two traditional red grape varieties widely cultivated in the Mediterranean area and both late-ripening cultivars, which makes them less sensitive to global warming conditions and more stable to harvest timing.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

The Relative Position of the Solar Magnetic Dipole Axis and Rotation Axis of the Sun

open access: yesGalaxies
We estimated the relative location of the solar rotation axis and the magnetic axis of the solar dipole, which were defined as centers of polar coronal holes.

DIAGNOSTICS OF LOCAL MAGNETIC FIELDS IN SOLAR FLARES USING FeI 5383 AND MgI 5528 LINES

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2014
Main  purpose of  the  present work is  to estimate upper limit of the local magnetic field strength in solar flares  using spectral lines FeI  5383  and MgI  5528. These lines like FeI 5233  have  low  Landé  factors  (1.12 and 1.00,  respectively) and
