Long-Term Variation of the Number of Sunspots per Group [PDF]
Long-term reconstructions of sunspot number (SSN) and group number (GN) often tacitly assume that the basic characteristics of solar activity remain unchanged even over long times, e.g., that the number of sunspots and the number of sunspot groups now ...

Abstract Purpose We aimed to evaluate the association of metabolic syndrome (MetS) with macular thickness and retinal vascular calibres in the population‐based cohort (Northern Finland Birth Cohort). Methods The population of 2242 individuals was divided into MetS (n = 344) and control groups (n = 1898).

Solar Activity Spikes: A Comparative Analysis of Monthly Smoothed and Unsmoothed Sunspot Numbers
This work investigates the differences between the monthly and 13-month smoothed sunspot numbers since 1749, using data from sunspot number (version 2).

Some Experiments on the Prediction of Sunspot Numbers
Summary Various methods of predicting annual sunspot numbers are considered. Linear and curvilinear regressions on previous values give very inaccurate predictions and semi-empirical methods appear better. The representation of the series as an autoregressive process is unsatisfactory.

Interpreting the structure–function relationship in high myopia‐associated glaucoma: A review
Abstract Visual field (VF) interpretation in high myopia‐associated glaucoma (HMG) is challenging due to frequent structure–function discordance and coexisting myopia‐related changes. These changes may reduce the reliability of conventional structure–function mapping and increase the risk of misclassifying non‐glaucomatous VF abnormalities as ...

Multiscale Sunspot Number Forecasting Based on Decomposition and Integration [PDF]
Solar activity exerts a direct influence on the heliosphere environment and life on earth.SN represents one of the most crucial and frequently predicted indices of solar activity.Enhancing the accuracy of SN predictions can provide more reliable data ...

Studies on Correlation between Sporadic E & Sunspot Number [PDF]
145-147The dependence of sporadic E occurrence on the sunspot number is studied by evaluating the correlation coefficient, and by finding out the significance of the correlation at different stations for different limiting values of fEs .

Abstract Coats disease diagnosed in adulthood is a rare idiopathic retinal telangiectatic vasculopathy that may differ in phenotype from childhood‐diagnosed cases. This systematic review synthesizes current evidence to characterize its clinical spectrum, imaging features, treatment outcomes and underlying mechanisms, with a focus on immunovascular ...

Abstract Purpose To determine the relationship between the baseline junctional retinal sensitivity measured with microperimetry and the atrophy progression rate in eyes with geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age‐related macular degeneration. Methods In this prospective cohort study, patients with GA were examined with fundus autofluorescence (FAF ...
