HEMISPHERIC SUNSPOT UNIT AREA: COMPARISON WITH HEMISPHERIC SUNSPOT NUMBER AND SUNSPOT AREA
The monthly mean northern and southern hemispheric sunspot numbers (SNs) and sunspot areas (SAs) in the time interval of 1945 January to 2012 December are utilized to construct the monthly northern and southern hemispheric sunspot unit areas (SUAs), which are defined as the ratio of hemispheric SA to SN.

Abstract Purpose Managing ocular diseases often requires frequent eye drop administration, which can challenge patient compliance. A long‐acting eye drop technology using an amorphous synthetic silica composite was developed to address this. Our study aimed to assess the safety and tolerability of the Silica Eye Drop platform in healthy volunteers over

Lifetime of Long-Lived Sunspot Groups
Studies of active region (AR) lifetimes are mostly restricted to short-lived ARs. The aim of this paper is to include recurrent ARs, which should be identified unambiguously.

Surface magnetic field effects in local helioseismology
Using helioseismic holography strong evidence is presented that the phase (or equivalent travel-time) of helioseismic signatures in Dopplergrams within sunspots depend upon the line-of-sight angle in the plane containing the magnetic field and vertical ...

Abstract Conventional optical coherence tomography (OCT) has a floor effect in patients with severe visual field loss, such as seen in advanced primary open‐angle glaucoma (POAG). OCT angiography (OCTA) does not suffer from such a floor effect. However, which OCTA parameters are most useful for monitoring longitudinal progression is unclear.

Abstract Purpose To compare preoperative characteristics and postoperative anatomical and functional outcomes of scleral buckle surgery using sponges versus tires, as well as explant‐related complications and the frequency of explant removal. Methods This retrospective study included patients with primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) who ...

Abstract Purpose To investigate changes in choroidal and retinal thickness before and during myopia control treatment with orthokeratology lenses (OKL) in myopic children. Methods This was a sub‐study of CONTROL and CONTROL2 studies. The present study was a 2‐year, prospective, single‐group interventional study consisting of a 6‐month pre‐treatment ...
