Erythrocyte deformability correlates with microvascular ischemia and disease severity in diabetic retinopathy

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 17, Issue 3, Page 483-491, March 2026.
Under physiological conditions, deformable erythrocytes pass smoothly through the capillary network, maintaining retinal capillary perfusion (A). In pathological conditions, reduced erythrocyte deformability causes irregular passage and stagnation within capillaries, resulting in localized blood flow stasis and microvascular congestion, leading to ...

Market‐Triggered Contingent Capital with Incomplete Information

open access: yesJournal of Money, Credit and Banking, Volume 58, Issue 2, Page 563-589, March 2026.
Abstract We analyze the equilibria of market‐triggered contingent capital if a bank's asset value is not common knowledge. Using a global game setup with private signals, we characterize the unique equilibrium for the conversion of the market‐triggered contingent capital.

Generalizing Determinacy under Monetary and Fiscal Policy Switches: The Case of the Zero Lower Bound

open access: yesJournal of Money, Credit and Banking, Volume 58, Issue 2, Page 421-448, March 2026.
Abstract In a fixed‐regime context, it has been established since the work of Leeper (1991) that a determinate and unique equilibrium can be achieved under both monetary dominance (characterized by an active monetary policy and a passive fiscal policy) and fiscal dominance (characterized by an active fiscal policy and a passive monetary policy) regimes

Al‐Khadhaf: The first camera‐observed (H5–6) meteorite fall from Oman

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 522-547, March 2026.
Abstract A fireball camera system installed in 2022 by the Oman Meteorite Monitoring Project (OMMP) as part of the Global Fireball Observatory (GFO) recorded a 3.2 s fireball on March 8, 2022 at 8:15 p.m. UTC. A meteoroid of 4 ± 2 kg entered the atmosphere at 14.0 km/s.

Solar Soft X‐Ray Proxy Derived From Observed Auger Photoelectrons by MGS and a 1999–2006 Flare Catalog at Mars

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract This study uses a novel approach to infer the solar soft X‐ray (SXR) irradiance from Auger photoelectron fluxes. Solar SXR irradiance is highly variable, particularly during solar flares. Solar SXR photons at ∼< ${\sim} < $2.5 nm produce oxygen Auger photoelectrons by photoionizing atmospheric constituents. More specifically, we derive the fit

Effects of the May 2024 Solar Storm on the Earth's Radiation Belts Observed by CALET on the International Space Station

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract In May 2024, extraordinary solar activity triggered a powerful solar storm, impacting Earth and producing the extreme geomagnetic storm of 10‐11 May, the most intense since 2003. This had significant effects on the magnetosphere, leading to the creation of a new long‐lasting component of relativistic electrons and to flux changes in the South ...
