Probing the rotation rate of solar active regions: the comparison of methods
Sunspot groups are often used as tracers to probe the differential rotation of the Sun. However, the results on the rotation rate variation obtained by different authors are not always in agreement. The reason for this might be a number of effects.

Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials to Diagnose Vestibular Neuritis: A Scoping Review
Standardization of stimulation and recording protocols is essential to improve comparability across VEMP studies. Integrating cervical and ocular VEMPs with other vestibular tests enhances diagnostic accuracy and supports precise localization of vestibular neuritis.

Analyzing the inter-annual variability of rainfall in the Brazilian semi-arid region
This research aims to analyze the interannual variability of rainfall and the correlation between solar cycles and teleconnections with the precipitation regime of the Intermediate Geographic Region of Caicó (IGRC), in the semiarid region of the state ...

SUNSPOTS AND CREDIT FRICTIONS [PDF]
We examine a general equilibrium model with collateral constraints and increasing returns to scale in production. The utility function is nonseparable, with no income effect on the consumer's choice of leisure. Unlike this model without a collateral constraint, we find that indeterminacy of equilibria is possible.

ABSTRACT Objectives To review the efficacy and safety of the dual 1550‐nm erbium glass fiber and 1927‐nm thulium fiber non‐ablative fractional laser system in patients with skin of color (ie, Fitzpatrick skin types [FSTs] III–VI). Materials and Methods Efficacy, safety, and histologic outcomes were reviewed from 15 clinical studies examining the use of

Magnetic Structure of Sunspots
In this review we give an overview about the current state-of-knowledge of the magnetic field in sunspots from an observational point of view. We start by offering a brief description of tools that are most commonly employed to infer the magnetic field ...

Latitudinal Distribution of Sunspot and North-South Asymmetry Revisited [PDF]
The solar magnetic field plays a central role in the field of solar research, both theoretically and practically. Sunspots are an important observational constraint since they are considered a discernable tracer of emerged magnetic flux tubes, providing ...

Automated sunspot detection and the evolution of sunspot magnetic fields during solar cycle 23
The automated detection of solar features is a technique which is relatively underused but if we are to keep up with the flow of data from spacecraft such as the recently launched Solar Dynamics Observatory, then such techniques will be very valuable to ...

Modeling the Subsurface Structure of Sunspots [PDF]
While sunspots are easily observed at the solar surface, determining their subsurface structure is not trivial. There are two main hypotheses for the subsurface structure of sunspots: the monolithic model and the cluster model.
