Analysis of Screwed Electrical Connections for HTS Tapes

open access: yesEnergies
A demountable connection is necessary to enable quick and easy replacement of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) tape samples during cryogenic (77 K) testing, particularly when investigating their application in superconducting fault current limiters

Digital–Analog Quantum Simulation and Computing: A Perspective on Past and Future Developments

open access: yesAdvanced Computing, Volume 1, Issue 1, December 2026.
In the past decade, the paradigm of digital–analog quantum technologies has emerged, which proposes to combine the best of both paradigms: large analog blocks, provided by native interactions of the employed quantum platform, enabling scalability, combined with digital gates, allowing for more versatility and, ultimately, universality.

Experimental methods in chemical engineering: Magnetometry

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 10, Page 5176-5188, October 2026.
Abstract Magnetometry is a non‐invasive technique to characterize the behaviour of magnetic materials of which the most common contain Fe, Co, and Ni. Vibrating sample magnetometers (VSMs) vibrate samples at a fixed frequency in a static, homogeneous magnetic field to induce a voltage in pick up coils according to Faraday's law of induction.

A Modified Balanced Steady State Free Precession Sequence for Overhauser Magnetic Resonance Imaging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 4, Page 1655-1665, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Low‐ and ultralow‐field magnetic resonance imaging (ULF MRI) have inherently low signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) by design. Overhauser dynamic nuclear polarization (ODNP) stands out as an effective solution for continuous signal enhancement.

Design and optimisation of a coreless superconducting synchronous generator

open access: yes, 2010
Constantly increasing demand for electrical power requires more efficient and more powerful machines to be built. The conventional technology cannot provide such machines.

Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping of Kidney Stones: An Ex Vivo MRI Phantom Study

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 4, Page 1846-1859, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To visualize and characterize the five most common kidney stone types based on their magnetic susceptibilities in MRI using QSM. Methods Three water‐based agar phantoms were constructed, containing a total of 53 ex vivo kidney stones of varying types and sizes.
