Analysis of the Processes of Short-Currents Limiting by Transformer with High-Temperature Superconducting Windings [PDF]

open access: yesProblems of the Regional Energetics, 2017
An important advantage of transformers with high-temperature superconducting winding is their ability to limit the short-circuit currents. The article discusses a physico-mathematical model that analyses transient processes at short-circuit currents in ...

Magnetometric Investigations of Biomagnetic Signals: Magnetocardiography

open access: yesКібернетика та комп'ютерні технології, 2022
Introduction. Superconducting magnetometers based on SQUIDs (SQUID- Superconducting QUantum Interference Device) are currently used to register weak magnetic fields generated in various human organs and measured outside the body (in the environment). The

COMPUTER SIMULATION OF A SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSFORMER SHORT-CIRCUIT

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska
High critical temperature superconductor power devices have unique characteristics that reduce energy losses during transmission and distribution of electricity. These superconductors allow for high current density, enabling the construction of smaller,

Fully superconducting rectifiers and fluxpumps Part 1: Realized methods for pumping flux [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The magnetic and electrical properties of superconductors were a challenge for many inventors and designers to use superconducting materials in the construction of fully superconducting voltage and current sources commonly called fluxpumps.

Experimental study of a transformer with superconducting elements for fault current limitation and energy redistribution

open access: yes, 2005
Numerous proposed and developed superconducting fault current limiters and self-limiting transformers limit successfully fault currents but do not provide uninterrupted supplying of consumers. A design investigated in the work combines the functions of a

A scalable control system for a superconducting adiabatic quantum optimization processor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We have designed, fabricated and operated a scalable system for applying independently programmable time-independent, and limited time-dependent flux biases to control superconducting devices in an integrated circuit. Here we report on the operation of a

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

A Study on a Single-Phase HTS Transformer with a Cylindrical Central Iron Core

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
During the past decade, a number of high temperature superconducting (HTS) transformer prototypes have been designed, and the majority of them are full-core transformers and air-core transformers.

Controllable-Dual Bridge Fault Current Limiter for Interconnection Micro-Grids

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Different types of fault current limiters (FCLs) have been developed and designed based on non-superconducting DC reactors (NSDRs). This paper proposes a controllable dual-bridge FCL (CDBFCL) based on the NSDR for use in an AC-type micro-grid.
