Supercritical CO2 in the Development of Highly Efficient Composite Cathodes for Li‐S Batteries

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 8, April 14, 2025.
Supercritical CO₂ (SC−CO₂) offers a sustainable, scalable, and efficient alternative for Li−S battery cathode synthesis, unlocking new possibilities beyond traditional methods. As a green solvent, SC−CO₂ enables precise sulfur loading, enhanced conductivity, and excellent electrochemical performance.

Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction

open access: yes, 2019
The objective of this thesis is to explore the properties of supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2). In addition, the feasibility of building a small-scale low cost system will be explained. A supercritical fluid is a fluid which exhibits properties between liquid and gas with liquid like densities and viscosities similar to a gas.

Photocatalytic Carbon Dioxide Reduction with Imidazolium‐Based Ionic Liquids

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Addressing CO₂ emissions through photocatalytic conversion offers a sustainable route to produce C1‐C3 chemical intermediates. Imidazolium‐based ionic liquids play key roles in CO₂ pre‐activation, enhancing reaction kinetics and acting as solvents or additives.

Carbon dioxide to carbon nanotube scale-up [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Team C2CNT, or team Carbon dioxide to carbon nanotubes, proprietary technology directly removes the widest range of carbon dioxide from the ecosystem. C2CNT technology simply transforms low to high carbon dioxide into carbon and oxygen, and the carbon produced is permanently removed, that is stable on the order of geologic time frames. C2CNT technology
