Innovative Approach to Recycle Lithium‐Ion Battery Electrolytes via Sequential Chemical Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A chemical separation method is developed to recycle and purify nonaqueous electrolytes from spent lithium‐ion batteries. The new process consists of a sequence of precipitation in tandem with each distillation and solvent‐assisted vacuum extraction to obtain high‐quality electrolyte precursors.

The wave numbers of supercritical surface tension driven Benard convection [PDF]

open access: yes
The cell size or the wave numbers of supercritical hexagonal convection cells in primarily surface tension driven convection on a uniformly heated plate was studied experimentally in thermal equilibrium in thin layers of silicone oil of large aspect ...

Advanced Synthesis and Fabrication Strategies for 2D Mesoporous Carbon Materials in Energy Storage and Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The rising demand for efficient energy systems has spotlighted 2D mesoporous carbon materials due to their high surface area, tunable porosity, and electrical conductivity. This article explores synthesis methods (template‐assisted, chemical vapor deposition), fabrication techniques (electrospinning, freeze‐drying), and applications in batteries ...

Biomimetic Thalidomide Nanoparticles: Targeted and Sustained Therapeutic Strategy for Oxygen‐Induced Retinopathy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Magnesium acetyl taurate and thalidomide co‐assembled nanoparticles (MT NPs) are prepared via Super‐stable Pure Nanomedicine Formulation Technology (SPFT), and the NPs are further coated with transferrin‐modified cell membrane vesicles to construct Tfm@MT nanomedicine for oxygen‐induced retinopathy treatment.

Evidence for structural crossover in the supercritical state

open access: yes, 2013
The state of matter above the critical point is terra incognita, and is loosely discussed as a physically homogeneous flowing state where no differences can be made between a liquid and a gas and where properties undergo no marked or distinct changes ...
