Effect of resveratrol on superovulation in mice

open access: yesBiomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, 2022
Oocyte quality is one of the key factors affecting the outcome of ART. Therefore, how to improve oocyte quality has become an urgent problem in the field of ART. In this study we evaluated the effect of resveratrol (RSV), added during the process of superovulation, on embryonic development in mice.

PSMA8‐Containing 20S Proteasome Regulates Spermiogenesis and Male Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSMA8 assembles s20S proteasome that degrades specific substrates in elongating spermatids. Degradation of s20S‐substrates activates translation of FXR1‐target mRNAs, which are essential for mitochondrial sheath formation and sperm morphogenesis.

Superovulatory response of water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) to gonadotrophins out of the breeding season

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2010
Ten adult cyclic female buffaloes (5 normo-karyotype and 5 hybrids) were treated with a conventional superovulation protocol following 2 luteolytic doses (25 mg, i.m.) of PGF2α 11 days apart (days -11 and 0).

Inflammation is a key contributor to ovarian cancer cell seeding. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The incidence of ovarian cancer dramatically increases in early menopause but the factors contributing to cancer onset are unclear. Most ovarian cancers originate in the fallopian tube with subsequent implantation of malignant cells into the ovary ...

Paternal Caffeine Exposure Programs Offspring Stress Vulnerability via Sperm Dlk1‐Dio3 Imprinting‐Directed Remodeling of a Novel Neural Circuit

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study elucidates that paternal preconception stress can drive offspring hyperresponsivity of the stress system via hypomethylation of a specific DNA region in sperm. This key link is confirmed in a cohort of prospective fathers: the epigenetic alteration is associated with elevated stress hormone levels.

Superovulation and egg transfer in the ewe [PDF]

open access: yesReproduction Nutrition Développement, 1984
102 Prealpes du Sud donor ewes were superovulated by a treatment with vaginal sponges impregnated with 40 mg of FGA. When the sponges were withdrawn at 14 days, follicular maturation was stimulated in these ewes with 12 mg of porcine pituitary extract (pFSH). The recipient ewes were treated i.m. with 500 IU of PMSG.

Study of anti-Müllerian hormone in predicting embryo productivity of donor cows [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
The study included a study of biochemical parameters at different stages of the productive cycle. Ultrasound images at different stages of the cycle, and during superovulation were analyzed.
