Supersymmetry without the Desert [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Naturalness of electroweak symmetry breaking in weak scale supersymmetric theories may suggest the absence of the conventional supersymmetric desert.

On Calabi‐Yau Manifolds at Strong Topological String Coupling

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 72, Issue 12, December 2024.
Abstract It was recently shown that integrating out M2 states on Calabi‐Yau manifolds captures non‐perturbative topological string physics in the free energy. In this note, It has been shown that the resulting expression manifests a certain duality symmetry: the free energy at strong string coupling is equal to the Calabi‐Yau period at weak string ...

From linear to non-linear SUSY and back again

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We show that couplings of the goldstino field, appearing when global supersymmetry is broken, can always be described in superspace by means of a nilpotent chiral superfield X, satisfying X 2 = 0.

Swampland geometry and the gauge couplings

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
The purpose of this paper is two-fold. First we review in detail the geometric aspects of the swampland program for supersymmetric 4d effective theories using a new and unifying language we dub “domestic geometry”, the generalization of special Kähler ...

Open String Renormalization Group Flow as a Field Theory

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 72, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract This article shows that the integral flow‐lines of the RG‐flow of open string theory can be interpreted as the solitons of a Hořova–Lifshitz sigma‐model of open membranes. The authors argue that the effective background description of this model implies the g‐theorem of open string theory.

Non-factorizable superamplitudes for massive N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 superstates

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In this paper we study non-factorizable N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 superamplitudes for massive chiral superstates. We demonstrate how little group scaling and the supersymmetric Ward identities determine the form of non-factorizable massless superamplitudes,

de Sitter State in Heterotic String Theory

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 72, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract Recent no‐go theorems have ruled out four‐dimensional classical de Sitter vacua in heterotic string theory. On the other hand, the absence of a well‐defined Wilsonian effective action and other related phenomena also appear to rule out such time‐dependent vacua with de Sitter isometries, even in the presence of quantum corrections.

Sneutrino Dark Matter in the BLSSM

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In the framework of the (B − L) Supersymmetric Standard Model (BLSSM), we assess the ability of ground and space based experiments to establish the nature of its prevalent Dark Matter (DM) candidate, the sneutrino, which could either be CP-even or -odd ...

Three-forms and Fayet-Iliopoulos terms in supergravity: scanning Planck mass and BPS domain walls

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We embed a new three-form vector multiplet in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 supergravity and we show that it can be used to generate dynamically the Hilbert-Einstein term.

On the Picard-Fuchs Equations for Massive N=2 Seiberg-Witten Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
A new method to obtain the Picard-Fuchs equations of effective, N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories with massive matter hypermultiplets in the fundamental representation is presented.
