In R-parity conserving supersymmetric (SUSY) models the lightest SUSY particle (LSP) is stable and a candidate for dark matter. Depending on the coupling and mass of this particle the life time of the next-to-lightest SUSY particle (NLSP) may be large compared to experimental time scales.

SPECIAL SPATIAL SYMMETRY OF MINERAL STRUCTURES [PDF]
Formation of mineral structures is affected both by energetic and crystal chemical barriers: limitations of possible choice of positions of structural units in a crystal lattice caused by features of its Fedorov group. The correspondence of structures of

Interface‐Interactive Nanoarchitectonics: Solid and/or Liquid
As the concept of post‐nanotechnology, the new concept of nanoarchitectonics is now emerging. However, such structural control and fabrication are not always easy. A realistic methodology to control such structures is the use of interfacial environments. In this review paper, under the title of interface‐interactive nanoarchitectonics, several examples

Supersymmetry and cosmology [PDF]
Cosmology now provides unambiguous, quantitative evidence for new particle physics. I discuss the implications of cosmology for supersymmetry and vice versa. Topics include: motivations for supersymmetry; supersymmetry breaking; dark energy; freeze out and WIMPs; neutralino dark matter; cosmologically preferred regions of minimal supergravity; direct ...

SUPERSYMMETRY OF PARAFERMIONS [PDF]
We show that the single-mode parafermionic type systems possess supersymmetry, which is based on the symmetry of characteristic functions of the parafermions related to the generalized deformed oscillator of Daskaloyannis et al. The supersymmetry is realized in both unbroken and spontaneously broken phases.

Species Scale and Primordial Gravitational Waves
Abstract The species scale is a field‐dependent UV cut‐off for any effective field theory weakly coupled to gravity. In this letter, it is shown that in the context of inflationary cosmology, a detection of primordial gravitational waves will set an upper bound on the decay rate |Λs′/Λs|$|\Lambda ^{\prime }_s/\Lambda _s|$ of the species scale ...

Supersymmetry and dualities [PDF]
Duality transformations with respect to rotational isometries relate supersymmetric with non-supersymmetric backgrounds in string theory. We find that non-local world-sheet effects have to be taken into account in order to restore supersymmetry at the string level.

Abstract We construct a family of solvable lattice models whose partition functions include p$p$‐adic Whittaker functions for general linear groups from two very different sources: from Iwahori‐fixed vectors and from metaplectic covers. Interpolating between them by Drinfeld twisting, we uncover unexpected relationships between Iwahori and metaplectic ...

Inflation from Supersymmetry Breaking
I discuss the possibility that inflation is driven by supersymmetry breaking, with the superpartner of the goldstino (sgoldstino) playing the role of the inflaton. Imposing an R-symmetry to satisfy the slow-roll conditions, avoiding the so-called η
