On Calabi‐Yau Manifolds at Strong Topological String Coupling
Abstract It was recently shown that integrating out M2 states on Calabi‐Yau manifolds captures non‐perturbative topological string physics in the free energy. In this note, It has been shown that the resulting expression manifests a certain duality symmetry: the free energy at strong string coupling is equal to the Calabi‐Yau period at weak string ...

Metastable supersymmetry breaking and gauge/gravity duality
AbstractWe discuss metastable supersymmetry breaking states in gauge theories and in their gravity duals. We then engineer a quiver gauge theory with several interesting features by studying D‐branes at a simple Calabi‐Yau singularity. At weak 't Hooft coupling we argue using field theory techniques that it admits, besides the supersymmetric vacua ...

Homological classification of 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 QFT. Rank-1 revisited
Argyres and co-workers started a program to classify all 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 QFT by classifying Special Geometries with appropriate properties. They completed the program in rank-1. Rank-1 N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 QFT are equivalently classified by

Non-perturbative tests of duality cascades in three dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories
It has been conjectured that duality cascade occurs in the N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 3 supersymmetric Yang-Mills Chern-Simons theory with the gauge group U(N) k × U(N + M) −k coupled to two bi-fundamental hypermultiplets. The brane picture suggests that this

de Sitter State in Heterotic String Theory
Abstract Recent no‐go theorems have ruled out four‐dimensional classical de Sitter vacua in heterotic string theory. On the other hand, the absence of a well‐defined Wilsonian effective action and other related phenomena also appear to rule out such time‐dependent vacua with de Sitter isometries, even in the presence of quantum corrections.

T-duality invariant approaches to string theory
PhDThis thesis investigates the quantum properties of T-duality invariant formalisms of String Theory. We introduce and review duality invariant formalisms of String Theory including the Doubled Formalism.

Orthosymplectic quotient quiver subtraction. Part II. Framed quivers
The technique of orthosymplectic quotient quiver subtraction is introduced for framed orthosymplectic quivers. This involves subtracting an orthosymplectic quotient quiver from a framed orthosymplectic 3d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 quiver gauge theory which

Topological correlators and surface defects from equivariant cohomology
We find a one-dimensional protected subsector of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 matter theories on a general class of three-dimensional manifolds. By means of equivariant localization we identify a dual quantum mechanics computing BPS correlators of the ...

Topological Quantum Field Theory and the Geometric Langlands Correspondence [PDF]
In the pioneering work of A. Kapustin and E. Witten, the geometric Langlands program of number theory was shown to be intimately related to duality of GL-twisted N=4 super Yang-Mills theory compactified on a Riemann surface. In this thesis, we generalize

Abstract We construct a family of solvable lattice models whose partition functions include p$p$‐adic Whittaker functions for general linear groups from two very different sources: from Iwahori‐fixed vectors and from metaplectic covers. Interpolating between them by Drinfeld twisting, we uncover unexpected relationships between Iwahori and metaplectic ...
