Non-Riemannian isometries from double field theory
We explore the notion of isometries in non-Riemannian geometries. Such geometries include and generalise the backgrounds of non-relativistic string theory, and they can be naturally described using the formalism of double field theory.

On T-Duality and Supersymmetry
The interplay between T-duality and supersymmetry in string theory is explored. It is shown that T-duality is always compatible with supersymmetry and simply changes a local realization to a non-local one and vice versa. Non-local realizations become natural using classical parafermions of the underlying conformal field theory.

Duality after Supersymmetry Breaking
Starting with two supersymmetric dual theories, we imagine adding a chiral perturbation that breaks supersymmetry dynamically. At low energy we then get two theories with soft supersymmetry-breaking terms that are generated dynamically. With a canonical Kahler potential, some of the scalars of the "magnetic" theory typically have negative mass-squared,

A “Lagrangian” for the E 7 superconformal theory
We find an N=1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ gauge theory that flows to the rank-one N=2 $$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ superconformal field theory with E 7 flavor symmetry.

Generalized dualities and supergroups
Using a recently developed formulation of double field theory in superspace, the graviton, B-field, gravitini, dilatini, and Ramond-Ramond bispinor are encoded in a single generalized supervielbein.

Nilpotent N=1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ tensor multiplet
We propose a nilpotent N=1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ tensor multiplet describing two fields, which are the Goldstino and the axion, the latter being realised in terms of the field strength of a gauge two-form.

Topological correlators and surface defects from equivariant cohomology
We find a one-dimensional protected subsector of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 matter theories on a general class of three-dimensional manifolds. By means of equivariant localization we identify a dual quantum mechanics computing BPS correlators of the ...

Black-holes, Duality and Supersymmetry
In order to study the discrepancy between the supersymmetry bound and the extremality bound for rotating black holes, the effect of duality transformations on the class of stationary and axially symmetric string backgrounds, called the TNbh, is considerd.
