Lorentz-Symmetry Breaking and Supersymmetry
We discuss three manners to implement Lorentz symmetry breaking in a superfield theory formulated within the superfield formalism, that is, deformation of the supersymmetry algebra, introducing of an extra superfield whose components can depend on Lorentz-violating (LV) vectors (tensors), and adding of new terms proportional to LV vectors (tensors) to ...

ABSTRACT We propose a manifestly duality‐invariant, Lorentz‐invariant, and local action to describe quantum electrodynamics in the presence of magnetic monopoles that derives from Sen's formalism. By employing field strengths as the dynamical variables, rather than potentials, this formalism resolves longstanding ambiguities in prior frameworks.

Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking in Five Dimensions [PDF]
PhDIn this thesis we focus on the construction of models in which a supersymmetry breaking hidden sector is located on one fixed point of an extra dimensional interval and the effects are gauge mediated across this interval to the other fixed point ...

N=2N=2 supersymmetry breaking at two different scales [PDF]
We study N=2 spontaneous supersymmetry breaking at two different scales with matter fields in hypermultiplets charged under the gauge group that should involve at least two U(1) factors.

Metastable supersymmetry breaking in terms of Peccei–Quinn mechanism
Gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking at metastable vacuum is reconsidered in terms of the Peccei–Quinn (PQ) mechanism. We suggest that for acceptable μ-value generation, such a class of model should involve messenger mass generation via the PQ-breaking ...

Supersymmetry and electroweak breaking in the interval [PDF]
Hypermultiplets are considered in the five-dimensional interval where all fields are continuous and the boundary conditions are dynamically obtained from the action principle. The orbifold boundary conditions are obtained as particular cases. We can interpret the Scherk-Schwarz supersymmetry breaking as a misalignment of boundary conditions while a new

Axion Black Hole Solution in Non‐Metricity Gravity
Abstract A static, spherically symmetric black hole solution in symmetric teleparallel (non‐metricity) gravity sourced by an axion field is constructed. Starting from the modified field equations, exact configurations are obtained characterized by the mass M$M$ and an axion–geometry coupling β$\beta$, with temporal metric function A(r)=1−2Mr+βr$A(r)=1-\

Degrees of Metastability in Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking [PDF]
This thesis consists of an investigation into supersymmetry and its breaking. Emphasis is placed on the question of metastability and the role of non-topological solitons in the hidden sector.

Twisted Moduli and Supersymmetry Breaking [PDF]
We consider twisted moduli contributions to supersymmetry breaking in effective type I string constructions involving intersecting D5_i and D9-branes using Goldstino angles to parametrise the supersymmetry breaking. It is well known that twisted moduli enter at tree-level into the gauge kinetic functions, and can provide new sources of gaugino mass if ...
