Branes and dynamical supersymmetry breaking [PDF]
We study dynamical supersymmetry breaking in four dimensions using the fivebrane of M theory, in particular for the Izawa-Yanagida-Intriligator-Thomas (IYIT) model, which we realize as the worldvolume theory of a certain M-theory fivebrane configuration.

Scale Hierarchies in Particle Physics and Cosmology
We discuss possible connections between several scales in particle physics andcosmology, such the the electroweak, inflation, dark energy and Planck scales.

Spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry [PDF]
There has been recently a revival of interest in supersymmetric gauge theories, stimulated by the hope that supersymmetry might help in clarifying some of the questions which remain unanswered in the so called Grand Unified Theories and in particular the gauge hierarchy problem.

Gauged Peccei-Quinn symmetry — A case of simultaneous breaking of SUSY and PQ symmetry
Recently, a simple prescription to embed the global Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry into a gauged U(1) symmetry has been proposed. There, explicit breaking of the global PQ symmetry expected in quantum gravity are highly suppressed due to the gauged PQ ...

Dark Dimension With (Little) Strings Attached
Abstract A relation between dark energy and the scale of new physics in weakly coupled string theory is motivated. This mixing between infrared and ultraviolet physics leads to a unique corner for real‐world phenomenology: barring fine‐tunings, the authors are naturally led to the “dark dimension” scenario, a single mesoscopic extra dimension of micron

Unity of supersymmetry breaking models [PDF]
We examine the models with gauge group U(1)^{k-1}\times\prod_{i=1}^k SU(n_i), which are obtained from decomposing the supersymmetry breaking model of Affleck, Dine and Seiberg containing an antisymmetric tensor field. We note that all of these models are distinct vacua of a single SU(N) gauge theory with an adjoint superfield.

A new type of artificial spin ice (ASI) lattices, i.e., in the ASI system embedded in the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) matrix, is proposed. The numerical simulations reveal a strong magnon–magnon coupling between the bulk second‐order mode of the ASI and the fundamental mode of the PMA matrix, supported by a pronounced anticrossing frequency

1D Majorana Goldstinos and partial supersymmetry breaking in quantum wires
Majorana modes realised in topological superconductors are expected to be an important feature for quantum information processing applications.

Weak-ergodicity-breaking via lattice supersymmetry [PDF]
We study the spectral properties of $D$-dimensional $N=2$ supersymmetric lattice models. We find systematic departures from the eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH) in the form of a degenerate set of ETH-violating supersymmetric (SUSY) doublets ...

Can Inflation Induce Supersymmetry Breaking in a Metastable Vacuum? [PDF]
We argue that fields responsible for inflation and supersymmetry breaking are connected by gravitational couplings. In view of the recent progress in studying supersymmetry breaking in a metastable vacuum, we have shown that in models of supersymmetric ...
