Tau Suppression in a Neurodegenerative Mouse Model Improves Memory Function

open access: yesScience, 2005
Neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) are the most common intraneuronal inclusion in the brains of patients with neurodegenerative diseases and have been implicated in mediating neuronal death and cognitive deficits.

The radial modes of stars with suppressed dipole modes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The Kepler space mission provided high-quality light curves for more than 16 000 red giants. The global stellar oscillations extracted from these light curves carry information about the interior of the stars. Several hundred red giants were found to have low amplitudes in their dipole modes (i.e. they are suppressed dipole-mode stars).

Total Protection of Analytic Invariant Information in Cross Tabulated Tables [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Computing, 26(1):231--242, February 1997, 2001
To protect sensitive information in a cross tabulated table, it is a common practice to suppress some of the cells in the table. An analytic invariant is a power series in terms of the suppressed cells that has a unique feasible value and a convergence radius equal to +\infty. Intuitively, the information contained in an invariant is not protected even
