Selective and Precise Editing of Digital Polymers Through Parallel or Series Toehold‐Mediated Strand Displacement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sequence‐encoded supramolecular construct containing two accessible toeholds is developed herein for enabling multiple editing operations. By introducing specific input strands, it is possible to selectively erase or rewrite digital content through parallel or series toehold‐mediated strand displacement (PTMSD or STMSD).

Molecular modelling of dendrimers for nanoscale applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Dendrimers are well defined, highly branched macromolecules that radiate from a central core and are synthesized through a stepwise, repetitive reaction sequence that guarantees complete shells for each generation, leading to polymers that are ...

Designed asymmetric coordination helicates with bis-β-diketonate ligands. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A new bis-(β-diketone) ligand featuring built-up structural asymmetry yields non-symmetric Fe(iii) and Ga(iii) dinuclear, triple-stranded helicates by design.

Self‐Assembled Membranes for High Ion Selectivity and Proton Blocking in Electrochemical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐separated alkyl poly(vinylimidazolium) membranes exhibit exceptional ionic conductivity, counter‐ion selectivity, and proton‐blocking ability by forming stable micro/macrophase‐separated domains. This design overcomes the conductivity–selectivity trade‐off in conventional ion‐exchange membranes (IEMs), offering a new paradigm for high‐performance

Toward Charge-neutral ‘soft scorpionates’: Coordination Chemistry and Lewis Acid Promoted Isomerization of tris(1-organo-imidazol-2-ylthio)methanes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Two tris(1-organo-imidazol-2-ylthio)methanes, HC(S-timR)3 (R = organo = methyl, tert-butyl), have been prepared by a triphasic reaction between chloroform, the appropriate heterocycle, and saturated aqueous solutions of Na2CO3, in the presence of a phase

On-surface Assembly of Au-Dicyanoanthracene Coordination Structures on Au(111)

open access: yes, 2019
On-surface metal-organic coordination provides a promising way for synthesizing different two-dimensional lattice structures that have been predicted to possess exotic electronic properties. Using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS)

New trends for metal complexes with anticancer activity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Medicinal inorganic chemistry can exploit the unique properties of metal ions for the design of new drugs. This has, for instance, led to the clinical application of chemotherapeutic agents for cancer treatment, such as cisplatin. The use of cisplatin is,
