Selective aqueous anion recognition in an anionic host

open access: yesiScience
Summary: Water-soluble Fe4L44− cages can be synthesized in a multicomponent self-assembly process exploiting functionalized trigonal ligands, FeII salts, and water-soluble sulfonated formylpyridine components.

Digital Metallo‐Supramolecular Chemistry

open access: yesChemistryEurope
Metal‐organic cages (MOCs) are supramolecular assemblies designed through complex chemical and spatial reasoning. While chemical creativity and modelling have advanced greatly the engineering of new and functional MOCs, their synthesis and ...

Selective profiling of non-canonical nucleic acid structures via size-discriminative supramolecular probes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Nucleic acids can form diverse non-canonical structures, such as G-quadruplexes (G4s) and i-motifs (iMs), which are critical in biological processes and disease pathways. This study presents an innovative probe design strategy based on groove size differences, leading to the development of BT-Cy-1, a supramolecular cyanine probe optimized by fine ...

A Jordan scenario is behind the Van Hove scenario. Towards a quantum chemical theory of high temperature superconductivity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
It is suggested that the appearance of Jordan blocks in the normal form of the recursion (transfer) matrix is responsible for high temperature superconductivity and related phenomena. Several published observations are discussed to support this idea. The draft of a quantum chemical theory is given for a more complete verification.

Modular Arithmetic Expressions and Primality Testing via DNA Self-Assembly [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Self-assembly is a fundamental process by which supramolecular species form spontaneously from their components. This process is ubiquitous throughout the life chemistry and is central to biological information processing. Algorithms for solving many mathematical and computational problems via tile self assembly have been proposed by many researchers ...
