Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The effect of condition of the charge surface on the scale adhesion for excess air combustion

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2015
In the process of heating steel the processes of chemical interaction occur between the furnace atmosphere and the surface of the steel being heated. Great importance, in aspect of course of the oxidizing process equal as well as for phenomenon of scale ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Running surface couplings [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We discuss the renormalization group improved effective action and running surface couplings in curved spacetime with boundary. Using scalar self-interacting theory as an example, we study the influence of the boundary effects to effective equations of ...

Trapped Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2011
I review the definition and types of (closed) trapped surfaces. Surprising global properties are shown, such as their "clairvoyance" and the possibility that they enter into flat portions of the spacetime. Several results on the interplay of trapped surfaces with vector fields and with spatial hypersurfaces are presented.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

THE STRUCTURE OF MONOATOMIC LAYER ON GRAPHITE SURFACE

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2017
Monatomic surface layers of graphite were simulated on the basis of experimental data, which was obtained by scanning tunneling electron microscopy of atomically smooth surface of graphite.

Influence of chitosan coatings with rosemary essential oil on mechanical and physical properties of packaging paper

open access: yesJournal of Graphic Engineering and Design, 2020
Recently, coated paper substrates have been used in a wide range of packaging applications. In this research, we present a chitosan with rosemary essential oil, paper coating as water and possible repellent resistant solution on biological basis. The aim
