Voltammetric Behavior and Determination of Isoniazid Using PEDOT Electrode in Presence Of Surface Active Agents

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2011
An electrochemical sensor was developed by using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxy thiophene) electrode in presence of different types of surfactants. Voltammetric behavior of isoniazid was studied at this electrode in the presence and absence of SDS and CTAB and ...

Lattice QCD Thermodynamics on the Grid

open access: yes, 2009
We describe how we have used simultaneously ${\cal O}(10^3)$ nodes of the EGEE Grid, accumulating ca. 300 CPU-years in 2-3 months, to determine an important property of Quantum Chromodynamics.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The effect of diluted 1% baby shampoo on biofilm reduction in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ
Background Biofilm has been identified as the contributing factor for refractory chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP). Nasal douching using baby shampoo was thought to be effective in patients with CRSwNP.

Non-leaching antimicrobial surfaces through polydopamine bio-inspired coating of quaternary ammonium salts or an ultrashort antimicrobial lipopeptide. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Bacterial fouling on surfaces significantly increases the resistance of bacteria toward antibiotics, which leads to medical complications and a corresponding financial burden.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Enhancement of mechanical and electrical properties of continuous-fiber-reinforced epoxy composites with stacked graphene

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2017
Impregnation of expandable graphite (EG) after thermal treatment with an epoxy resin containing surface-active agents (SAAs) enhanced the intercalation of epoxy monomer between EG layers and led to further exfoliation of the graphite, resulting in stacks

Synthesis of Surface Active Agents. VI.

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1961
The surface activity of the α-substituted higher aliphatic acids was studied. These compounds were prepared by reaction of α-bromo-fatty acid with various compounds, such as sodium hydroxide, N-methyltaurine, monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, glycine, n-butylamine, ethylenediamine, potassium cyanide (The obtained α-cyano-fatty acid was hydrolyzed into ...

Networking strategies in streptomyces coelicolor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We are interested the soil dwelling bacteria Streptomyces coelicolor because its cells grow end to end in a line. New branches have the potential to extend from any point along this line and the result is a network of branches and connections.
