Real‐time by‐example texture synthesis and filtering using local statistics exchange
Abstract Real‐time by‐example texture synthesis is used in interactive virtual worlds to generate the appearance of an unbounded surface from an exemplar texture with as few repetitions as possible. Currently, leading real‐time methods rely on a tiling and blending scheme which is known to synthesize well texture patterns with little spatial ...

High‐Gloss SVBRDF Capture Using Bounce Light
Abstract Reflectance capture aims at the visual reproduction of an object under varying illumination. Past works differ substantially in their experimental overhead, from single‐ or few‐image approaches, that employ significant (often learned) priors at the expense of biased reconstructions, to more accurate approaches that tend to be time‐consuming ...

Instant Response of Tibetan Plateau Surface Albedo to Snow Coverage and Depth in Snow Season
Tibetan Plateau (TP) snow cover is featured by sub‐seasonal changes, affecting weather and climate in surrounding and downstream areas. Previous studies emphasize the effect of background atmospheric circulation on rapid changes of TP snow cover as a ...

Layer3D: A 3D Layered Representation for Multiview Vector Graphics
Abstract We present Layer3D, a novel 3D neural representation that models objects as collections of decomposable neural implicit primitives. These primitives enable the generation of layered images with consistent correspondences across viewpoints, establishing a flexible framework for multiview vector graphics decomposition.

NAADF: Globally Illuminated Voxel Worlds Accelerated with Nested Axis‐Aligned Distance Fields
Abstract Achieving realistic rendering of 3D scenes in real time using path tracing is challenging due to the high sample count required, with ray tracing as the bottleneck. Focusing on voxels as a geometry representation offers significant opportunities for optimizations, especially for tracing the rays, but also for computing the samples.

This study models real‐life UVB and UVA exposure across latitudes and seasons using an extended Diffey framework with behavioural corrections. Findings reveal predictable dose patterns and support pragmatic SPF and UVA‐PF caps, offering a quantitative basis for realistic photoprotection and regulatory discussion.

Abstract Remote spectroscopy is used to characterize the mineralogy and infer the history of planetary bodies. Carbonaceous asteroids, such as B‐type (101955) Bennu, represent the earliest stages of planet formation. B types have a blue (negative) spectral slope and comprise <5% of asteroids.

Aerosol and non-aerosol drivers of regional trends in top-of-atmosphere albedo over 2002–2020
Climate change responds to, and in turn modifies, trends in the Earth’s top-of-atmosphere (TOA) albedo. These trends are caused in particular by anthropogenic aerosol-radiation and aerosol-cloud interactions, as well as by non-aerosol feedbacks involving

Abstract Since the discovery of nine meteorites near the Yamato mountains in 1969, Antarctica has been recognized as a superb location for meteorite recovery. While Antarctic recovery expeditions prioritize meteorite preservation for mineralogical and planetary studies, meteorites are not typically collected for biological applications.
