Ferromagnetic‐Based Charge‐Accumulation Triboelectric Nanogenerator With Ultrahigh Surface Charge Density

Small, 2022
AbstractAn encouraging micro‐energy harvesting technology, the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG), has been proven to transfer ambient environmental micro‐energy into electricity, but a low surface charge density results in low performance and limits the practical application of TENG.

Understanding surface charge accumulation and surface flashover on spacers in compressed gas insulation

IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 2018
Surface charges have the effect of changing the electric field over spacers in compressed gases, which may affect the stable operation of gas insulated equipment and could possibly trigger a catastrophic surface flashover without warning. In this paper, we review the literature on surface charge accumulation and related surface flashover phenomenon on ...

A review on factors that affect surface charge accumulation and charge-induced surface flashover

Nanotechnology, 2021
Abstract The surface charge accumulation is very likely to trigger the surface flashover, which limits the large-scale application of DC GIL/GIS. This article comprehensively reviews the effect of six factors, including insulator-electrode shape, surface roughness of the insulator and conductor, metal particles, temperature, humidity,

Surface trap characteristics of polyimide and effect of surface charge accumulation on surface flashover

Journal of Applied Physics, 2022
Charge accumulation on the surface of insulation dielectric used in high voltage DC equipment is one of the important causes of surface flashover. Surface charge accumulation is closely related to surface trap characteristics. In this paper, the surface trap energy level distribution of polyimide (PI) was calculated and analyzed by the corona charging ...

Charge Accumulation at InAs Surfaces

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1996
Angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to directly prove the existence of a charge accumulation layer at clean InAs surfaces. The formation of an accumulation layer is shown to be a common property of polar InAs surfaces, with the precise surface Fermi level position above the conduction band minimum determined by the surface geometry.
