Technical Routes to Achieve High Circular Polarized Luminescence in Chiral Perovskites: A Mini‐Review

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research
Chiral hybrid organic‐inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) have emerged as promising materials for optoelectronic and spintronic applications, leveraging unique properties such as circularly polarized luminescence (CPL), circularly polarized nonlinear optical ...

CHIRAL BOSONIZATION ON A RIEMANN SURFACE

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1987
Abstract We point out that the basic addition theorem of θ-functions, Fay's identity, implies an equivalence between bosons and chiral fermions on Riemann surfaces with arbitrary genus. We present a rule for a bosonized calculation of correlation functions.

Engineering Chiroptical Interactions through Integrating Plasmonic Arrays with Cholesteric Nanocellulose

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we demonstrate how the combination of plant‐based cellulose and gold nanoparticle lines produces robust, tunable chiral light control in composite films. The resulting plasmonic cellulose composite exhibits a strong plasmonic CD at the surface lattice resonance, along with an inversion of chiroptical response upon reversing the ...

Modeling branching and chiral colonial patterning of lubricating bacteria

open access: yes, 1998
In nature, microorganisms must often cope with hostile environmental conditions. To do so they have developed sophisticated cooperative behavior and intricate communication capabilities, such as: direct cell-cell physical interactions via extra-membrane ...

Self‐Assembled Monolayers in p–i–n Perovskite Solar Cells: Molecular Design, Interfacial Engineering, and Machine Learning–Accelerated Material Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights the role of self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) in perovskite solar cells, covering molecular engineering, multifunctional interface regulation, machine learning (ML) accelerated discovery, advanced device architectures, and pathways toward scalable fabrication and commercialization for high‐efficiency and stable single‐junction and

Chirality-assisted three-dimensional acoustic Floquet lattices

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2019
Artificial topological insulators in classical systems are thriving, especially the meta-atom-based three-dimensional (3D) topological lattices. Here we propose a paradigm based on engineering coupling networks in a generalized spatial Floquet lattice ...

Photoinduced supramolecular chirality and spontaneous surface patterning in high-performance azo materials

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2019
In this work, two photo-structuring processes, photo induced spontaneous surface structuring (PSSP) and photo induced supramolecular chirality (PSC) are applied to high-performance azo polymers.

Chirally-modified metal surfaces: energetics of interaction with chiral molecules

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2015
Imparting chirality to non-chiral metal surfaces by adsorption of chiral modifiers is a highly promising route to create effective heterogeneously catalyzed processes for the production of enantiopure pharmaceuticals.

Photochromic Cholesteric Liquid Crystals via Arylazopyrazole Functionalization of Hydroxypropyl Cellulose

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We produce a new derivative of hydroxypropyl cellulose functionalized with arylazopyrazole side chains and demonstrate its photoswitchable behaviors in dilute and concentrated aqueous solutions, ultimately designing a series of photochromic cholesteric materials that can be photopatterned as write‐erase displays.

Proximity Induced Magnetic Anisotropy and Trefoil Fermiology in Monolayer FeCl2/Bi(111)

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Reorientation of magnetic anisotropy in a 2D van der Waals magnet is demonstrated in monolayer FeCl2 epitaxially grown on a bismuth substrate, from its natural out‐of‐plane direction to a predominantly in‐plane orientation. The FeCl2/bismuth heterostructure exhibits moiré‐induced interface states, suggesting strong coupling at the interface.
