Combinatorial Surface Integration
18th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR'06), 2006Graph-Spectral surface integration techniques construct an integration path assuming that the surface contains a path along which the integration error is minimal. This paper presents a generalisation that uses Minimum Spanning Trees of the weighted grid graph of surface normals, which scales with no need for surface segmentation.

We intend to study the integration of a differential k-form over a regular k-surface of class C 1 in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). To begin with, in Sect. 7.1, we undertake the integration over a portion of the surface that is contained in a coordinate neighborhood. Where possible, we will express the obtained results in terms of integration of vector fields.

<p> In mathematics, a surface integral is a generalization of multiple integrals to integration over surfaces. It can be thought of as the double integral analog of the line integral. Given a surface, one may integrate over its scalar fields (that is, functions which return scalars as values), and vector fields (that is, functions which return ...

Surface Finish and Surface Integrity
1989Abstract This article distinguishes between a surface finish and a surface texture. It provides information on the surface integrity technology that describes and controls the many possible alterations produced in a surface layer during manufacture, including their effects on material properties and the performance of the surface in ...
