Surface waves in non-homogeneous, general magnetothermo, viscoelastic media of higher order

open access: yes, 2013
The aim of the present paper is to investigate surface waves in a non-homogeneous, isotropic, visco-elastic solid medium of n-th order including the time rate of strain.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

用包络理论建立端面蜗轮副的通用数学模型

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2006
Based on envelope theory, meshing principle of face worm gear drive,a new type of worm gear drive,is analyzed, and its general tooth surface equations are built.Synthetical curvature of tooth surface is calculated. It lays a foundation for the research of ...

Controllable transmission and total reflection through an impedance-matched acoustic metasurface

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
A general design paradigm for a novel type of acoustic metasurface is proposed by introducing periodically repeated supercells on a rigid thin plate, where each supercell contains multiple cut-through slits that are filled with materials possessing ...

Method of Selecting Gloves Based on Pressure on The Palms Using A Measuring Instrument with A Force Sensing Resistor

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri, 2022
Assembly is a common activity in manufacturing companies. The use of handtools during assembly creates pressure on the palms surface which can lead to injury.

Irregularity of Quintic Surfaces of General Type

open access: yesTokyo Journal of Mathematics, 1994
In this paper we prove the following theorem. Let \(X\) be a normal quintic surface in \(\mathbb{P}^3\) and let \(\widetilde X\) be a resolution of \(X\). If \(\widetilde X\) is of general type, then its irregularity vanishes. This result was proved also by \textit{J.-G. Yang} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc.

Surfaces of Albanese general type and the Severi conjecture [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, 2003
AbstractIn 1932, F. Severi claimed, with an incorrect proof, that every smooth minimal projective surface S of irregularity q = q(S) > 0 without irrational pencils of genus q satisfies the topological inequality 2c21 (S) ≥ c2(S).According to the Enriques‐Kodaira's classification, the above inequality is easily verified when the Kodaira dimension of ...

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Mutations of FLT3 receptor affect its surface glycosylation, intracellular localization, and downstream signaling

open access: yesLeukemia Research Reports, 2020
This review describes the effects of FLT3 mutations that alter its intracellular localization and modify its glycosylation, leading to differences in downstream signaling pathways.
