DNA Nanostructure‐Templated Multivalency Enables Broad‐Spectrum Virus Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A honeycomb‐shaped DNA nanostructure is introduced that organizes nanobodies or aptamers into trimeric clusters mirroring the native hemagglutinin arrangement on influenza viruses. This geometry‐matched multivalency enhances binding avidity by up to 1000‐fold, resulting in robust, broad‐spectrum viral neutralization and a 30–55% improvement in host ...

Investigation of gold nanorods as a sensing material in plasmonic sensor for triclopyr butotyl detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Gold nanorods (GNRs) have a unique optical property of metal nanoparticles (MNPs) due to the localised surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect, which depends on the size, shape and dielectric property of the surrounding medium.

Fibroblast Activation Protein Promotes Thoracic Aortic Dissection via PLAUR/ITGB1‐Mediated Pro‐inflammatory Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that FAP promotes thoracic aortic dissection (TAD) through a nonenzymatic mechanism involving fibroblast‐macrophage crosstalk via the FAP/PLAUR/ITGB1/FAK axis. Targeting this pathway might offer a promising therapeutic strategy for TAD.

Discovery of SKP2‐Recruiting PROTACs for Target Protein Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the SKP2‐targeting ligand SL1, we designed non‐covalent PROTACs by linking it with the BRD4 inhibitor JQ1 and the AR antagonist AL through a linker. These PROTACs successfully induced the ubiquitination of BRD4 and AR, followed by proteasome‐mediated degradation.

Halorotetin B, A Novel Terpenoid Compound Derived from Marine Ascidian, Suppresses Tumor Growth by Targeting the Cell Cycle Regulator UBE2C

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Halorotetin B, a novel small‐molecule terpenoid identified from an edible marine ascidian, exhibits strong anti‐tumor activity both in vitro and in vivo through direct targeting UBE2C to induce tumor cell cycle arrest and then lead tumor cell senescence. As a newly discovered UBE2C inhibitor, Halorotetin B can serve as a novel potential cell senescence

30 Years of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) for Biosensing [PDF]

open access: yesPlasmonics, 2014
The year 2013 marked the 30th anniversary of the publication of a paper that changed the world of chemical and biomedical diagnostics: The manuscript of Bo Liedberg, Claes Nylander, and Ingemar Lundstrom entitled “Surface plasmon resonance for gas detection and biosensing” (Sensors and Actuators 4: 299) introduced the application of a physical concept,
