Surface Potential-Controlled Oscillation in FET-Based Biosensors [PDF]
Field-effect transistor (FET)-based biosensors have garnered significant attention for their label-free electrical detection of charged biomolecules. Whereas conventional output parameters such as threshold voltage and channel current have been widely ...

Surface-Potential-Based Compact Modeling of p-GaN Gate HEMTs [PDF]
We propose a surface potential (SP)-based compact model of p-GaN gate high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) which solves the Poisson equation. The model includes all possible charges in the GaN channel layer, including the unintended Mg doping ...

Estimation of the surface potential of clay mineral taking Na+/K+-specific ion effects into account
Surface potential is a key electrochemical property of colloids in the study of particle interactions. However, the specific ion effects are not involved in the existing measuring methods.

Potential energy surfaces for gas-surface reactions [PDF]
A method for constructing the potential energy surface for reactions of a molecule with the surface of cleaved non-conducting crystals is reported. The method uses systematic fragmentation to express the total potential in terms of potential energy surfaces which describe reactions of relatively small molecules in the gas phase.

Surface tensions and surface potentials of acid solutions [PDF]
A theory is presented which allows us to quantitatively calculate the excess surface tension of acid solutions. The H+, in the form of hydronium ion, is found to be strongly adsorbed to the solution-air interface. To account for the electrostatic potential difference measured experimentally, it is necessary to assume that the hydronium ion is oriented ...

Mapping the Electronic Surface Potential of Nanostructured Surfaces [PDF]
We present a method for the quantitative determination of the surface potential landscape of nanostructured surfaces based on the local analysis of the lowest field emission resonances by scanning tunneling spectroscopy. The method has a lateral resolution of approximately 1 nm and is applied to elucidate the site-specific adsorption properties of the ...
