Leaflet-specific effects of charged lipids on a voltage-gated potassium channel

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research
Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels possess distinct voltage-sensor (VSD) and pore (PD) domains, making it challenging to study domain-specific lipid effects.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

STUDY OF SILICON-INSULATOR STRUCTURE DEFECTS BASED ON ANALYSIS OF A SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF A SEMICONDUCTOR WAFERS’ SURFACE POTENTIAL

open access: yesПриборы и методы измерений, 2015
The matter of the study is application of contact potential difference and band bending visualization technique based on Kelvin–Ziesman technique to the non-destructive testing and defects study of a silicon-insulator structure.

Fine-Tuning Positive-Surface-Charge Carbon Dots for High-Efficiency and Low-Cytotoxicity Gene Delivery

open access: yesNanomaterials
Carbon dots (CDs) have emerged as a promising non-viral gene delivery vector due to their excellent biocompatibility and tunable surface properties. In this study, four CDs with gradient-positive zeta potentials (7.23 mV, 16.7 mV, 25.3 mV, 34.5 mV) were ...

Investigation of Total-Ionizing Dose Effects on the Two-Dimensional Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Field-Effect Transistors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Due to the excellent electrical properties, the emerging field-effect transistor (FET) based on two-dimensional transition metal dischalcogenide (TMD) is an excellent candidate for future space applications.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Auxiliary Results of Collection and Classification of Surface Geoelectric Arrays

open access: yes, 2007
Recently, we have made a classification of more than one hundred various surface geoelectric arrays ever published in geophysical literature (Szalai and Szarka 2007a, 2007b). The classification is based on three divalent parameters (as “superposition” of

Simulation of surface EMG signals generated by muscle tissues with in-homogeneity due to fiber pinnation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Surface electromyographic (EMG) signal modeling has important applications in the interpretation of experimental EMG data. Most models of surface EMG generation considered volume conductors homogeneous in the direction of propagation of the action ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
