Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Modelling of bubble nucleation in trachy-phonolitic magmas: implications for the dynamics of ash-rich eruptions [PDF]
Nucleation of water gas bubbles in trachyphonolitic magmatic melts has been investigated integrating theory and numerical modelling with decompression experiments and analysis of natural ash samples of explosive eruptions.

Off-equilibrium surface tension in colloidal suspensions
We study the fingering instability of the interface between two miscible fluids, a colloidal suspension and its own solvent. The temporal evolution of the interface in a Hele-Shaw cell is found to be governed by the competition between the non-linear ...

This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Density and Temperature Dependencies of Liquid Surface Tension [PDF]
In this paper the density and temperature dependencies of surface tension are investigated. Using the Lennard-Jones (12,6), as an effective pair interaction potential, a linear expression is derived for isotherms of g /r2 versus r2 for some normal and ...

Prediction of Surface Tension and Surface Properties of binary mixtures Containing Ionic Liquids Using Thermodynamics and Artificial Neural Network Models [PDF]
In this paper, surface tension and surface properties of binary mixtures containing alcohol (methanol and ethanol) ionic liquid (1-bptf, 1-b-3-mptf and 1-b-4-mptf)) have been determined using thermodynamics and theoretical methods at various temperatures

Insect-Inspired Wall-Climbing Robots Utilizing Surface Tension Forces
This paper describes insect-inspired wall-climbing robot that is capable of walking on a smooth vertical surface utilizing surface tension forces. The adhesion mechanism of the robot is inspired from the attachment system of ants, which is responsible ...
