Fermi Surface Reconstruction by Dynamic Magnetic Fluctuations [PDF]
We demonstrate that nearly critical quantum magnetic fluctuations in strongly correlated electron systems can change the Fermi surface topology and also lead to spin charge separation (SCS) in two dimensions.

In this paper, a concurrent optimization method of shape and topology for natural vibration design of shell structures is presented. The fundamental vibration eigenvalue is maximized under volume constraints for shape and topology optimization.

Electronic structure of periodic curved surfaces -- topological band structure
Electronic band structure for electrons bound on periodic minimal surfaces is differential-geometrically formulated and numerically calculated. We focus on minimal surfaces because they are not only mathematically elegant (with the surface characterized ...

Topology optimization of engine bracket arm using BESO
An engine bracket is one of the most critical components of the engine used for mounting and supporting the engine in the vehicles. Today, the automobile industry requires lightweight components, which will reduce the car's overall weight when fitted ...

Surface topology and involutive bimodules [PDF]
We remark some basic facts on homological aspects of involutive Lie bialgebras and their involutive bimodules, and present some problems on surface topology related to these facts.Comment: 19 ...

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Weighted and metric surface networks - new insights and an interactive application for their generalisation in Tcl/Tk [PDF]
The idea of characterising the different forms of natural topographic surfaces by a topologicalmodel based on their fundamental surface features has attracted many proposals. In this paper, adetailed discussion and new proposals on various issues related

Lifshitz transition from valence fluctuations in YbAl3
In Kondo lattice systems with mixed valence, such as YbAl3, interactions between localized electrons in a partially filled f shell and delocalized conduction electrons can lead to fluctuations between two different valence configurations with changing ...

Complex structure of a DT surface with $T^2$ topology [PDF]
A method of defining the complex structure(moduli) for dynamically triangulated(DT) surfaces with torus topology is proposed. Distribution of the moduli parameter is measured numerically and compared with the Liouville theory for the surface coupled to c

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
