Domain Engineering and Anisotropic Domain‐Wall Photovoltaic Effects in Ferroelectric SnS

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The bulk photovoltaic effect at domain walls in the in‐plane ferroelectric 2D semiconductor SnS is investigated using periodic domain structures. Unlike conventional oxide ferroelectrics, domain walls of SnS do not contribute to photocurrent generation perpendicular to the domain walls.

Influence of in-situ rock stress on the stability of roadway surrounding rock: a case study

open access: yesJournal of Geophysics and Engineering, 2019
Abstract In-situ rock stress was measured in the development roadway of Gucheng coal mine at +420 m level by using the stress relief method of hollow inclusion. The results show that the first principal stress was the vertical stress, the maximum horizontal principal stresses were distributed in the range of N10°E and N20°E, and the ...

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.

Nanofiber‐Supported Decellularized Matrix Membrane Creates a Biomimetic Biochemical and Biophysical Niche for Intestinal Organoid Epithelium

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A nanofiber‐supported decellularized extracellular matrix (NaDE) membrane recreates key biochemical and mechanical features of native intestinal tissue. This platform enables the formation of a more physiologically relevant intestinal epithelium, enhancing stem cell maintenance and promoting diverse cell differentiation.

Finite Element Analysis of the Stability of Tunnel Surrounding Rock with Weak Rock Layer

open access: yesModern Applied Science, 2009
The evaluation of local stability of the tunnel surrounding rock mass with weak rock layer is very important for the economy and security of the tunnel construction. Based on the rock tunnel geological conditions in the construction, the finite element model of the tunnel surrounding rock mass stability analysis with weak rock layer is established in ...

Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

Cellular Responses to Mechanical Cues Across Scales: From Fundamental Insights to Translational Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...
